With all of the sunshine today I noticed that my glass globes were showing off in the window.
These globes were my Mother's Day gift last year. We went to Lowe Mill to have our visit with Susan Knecht at her glass studio.
The kids made custom glass balls with her. She does all of the dangerous work, the kids got to pick out the colors (with some suggestions from Mom) and they got to blow their breath into the ball when it was time to transform molten blobs of glass into lovely, light-catching orbs.
I love these globes and would love to have more this Mother's Day.
(How's that for a subtle hint?)
